Usually that has to do with a vaccuum line, since the booster is vaccuum operated. Check your connections. There should be a port on your intake manifold somehwere that the hose on the booster goes to. Check to see if that hose is cracked anywhere or loose. If thats not it, hopefully someone else has the solution.

You know i had that same exact problem. Replace the check valve in the middle of the line. Follow the line that goes into the brake booster and keep following it across the firewall. Take the little round check valve out and get a new one. If that doesnt solve it just flip the check valve around backwards. I bought a new one and it didnt fix the problem. Took the check valve out and turned it around backwards and put the line back on. Havnt had the problem since. Brakes still feel the same and havnt had any problems with them going out or feeling spongy. Mad the engine stop trying to die out on me too.

well i kinda did something like that i by passed the check valve and hooked the long line straight to the booster and it still did it ...but i have a friend that does brakes and he said it is the booster going out
