93 efi help

ok this just started ok well eversince i got the truck to get it started u had to pump on the pedal to give it some gas to start but now it seams to be missing or skiping and then it will run fine i put a new fuel filter on .....any one have an idea...and i have checked all the vac lines

could be the electric fuel pump (glogged or going out) Injectors leaking or clogged or possibly the mass air sensor. Check fuel pressure also.

Technically you should never have to "pump" the gas pedal on a FI motor. Its really pointless since it has to have an electical signal for the pump to kick on and the injectors to work. There is no mechanical per se' motion like on a carb'd motor.

check the cold start injector. thats the injector that starts the motor when first cranked up
