would like to do discs in the back. i need to know what the conversion kit is that i need for an 89' yota, or if it would be worth it to get a rx7 rear end instead, but not sure of the price difference. need help or any ideas! thx dub
Actually Im working on a kit I have fabbed up that us Mustang SVO rotors and Monte Carlo calipers so far I got 250.00 in parts and it looks pretty good.I originally got the kit from a company online but shesh that kit costed me a grand or so.I sent it back and decided to make the kit on my own......Give me a little time and Ill have it figured out, main problem is all the figuring and size dimensons to get each piece to work.
Rodney, hit me up offline when you have a chance. I got a question or two for you. My email is dragmatic@aol.com. Dubponic..this applies to you too. Hit me up when ya can.
easiest and least expensive way to do something like this is to use an Explorer rotor and caliper. pleanty of them in the wrecking yard and then all you have to do is fab the mounts for the axle. that or go to speedwaymotors.com and buy the axle mounts and mod them. then you would need to ditch the drum brakes proportioning valve and get an adjustable wilwood one. speedway also sells their version of a adjustable prop.
if you dont need the e brake then you can use some front rotors off something and save even more.
