wow. scotch brite all the way to metal? you must be tored, just get her to metal, shoot a primer/sealer and then paint the fucker, bake it(powdercoat) if possible. good luck

I use scotch brite in the areas i can't get a sander in there. Do you have an easier method instead of sanding? Any kind of spray chemical that strips it to the metal?

Yeah its called aircraft stripper, just spray, let set, then scrape off paint, then take a mild/soap water mix, wipe down all treated areas, then spray a sealing prime, if any body work needs done to it, do the body work on the sealer prime, then after all of this is done, spray a poly primer, then paint and so on!

a die grinder with a metal brush will also work wonders stripping your frame to bare metal. and a tack rag is always your friend before laying any kind of paint.

hey bro make shure u lay down a etch primer over your bare metal before you spray anything else. plus are going to show your frame at all? or just cleaning it up and coating it so it dont rust. cause after the aircraft stripper is all cleaned off hit it with some metal cleaner and a red scotch brite and spray the etch then the primer, then bake it. come back the next day and hit it with a grey scotch brite and clean it off with some wax and grease remover and then tack off and lay your base and clear over it. thats if you just wanted a clean frame not to show or nuttin. sorry for the book. lat mario

yeah, i found the best thing i think.. is A. a sand blaster, which most people dont have, but the 2nd best B. a hand held grinder with a wire brush, or even a stole wheel, lay it on, it'll take ur rusted out piece of shit frame, to look chrome, seal it with some good primer, get the airgun out turn on the compressor n go the fuck to work. i use a die grinder for everything, best fuckin 60 bucks u could ever spend. cutting, sanding, grinding, smoothing.
