Hey guys, well I have an 89 S10 4.3L and for some reason as of yesterday I keep blowing my 20amp fuse for my break lights, but only when I put it in reverse. The break lights work fine and so does every other light untill I put it in reverse, then the fuse pops and no break lights. Also I keep blowing my running light fuse every time I turn my running lights on. I have been driving it for 2 weeks now without a problem and all of a sudden it started this yesterday. Any suggestions?

start tracing wires.. my guess is something is grounded out.. have you recently changed anything? removed the bed, etc?

lemme know.. maybe I can help troubleshoot this for ya.

Well when I got the truck couple months ago the guy had messed around with the wiring and NOTHING worked as far as lights go. So me and my buddy rewired it all and it worked perfect for the last month untill yesterday when I went to back up and heard the fuse pop then today I turned the running lights on and that fuse poped

that was also happening in my truck for some weird reason it ended up being that my cigarette lighter was grounding out and blowing the fuse so i would check that

check all grounds coming off that fuse and also the ground for your enguin go back and check your wiring job make sure you don't have an exposed peace making contact with metal that for sure will pop a fuse

also maybe you are over loading that fuse disconect the wires for the backup lights who needs them anyways and then see if you continue to pop a fuse good luck laters dude
