Will a 1.6 honda motor fit a 1.5 honda tranny? or ne1 know where i can get a 1.8 tranny?

yes a 1.6 motor fits to a 1.5 but why would you do that?

cause i can get a cheap 1.6 motor.

the 1.6 and 1.5 have diff trannies..for racing the gear ratio is much better on the 1.6..but up above you also asked about a 1.8 tranny. that will NOT fit a sohc motor b/c the 1.8 tranny is from a DOHC

the 1.5 and 1.6 is the same motor the 1.6 is just vtec which means you have to run a oil line from the bottom of the motor to the head and 1 wire to the ecm for the vtec. What year is the motor make sure it not the 1.7 they dont bolt up to the tranny and look around the 1.5 and 1.6 motors that are shiped from japan with 30-40,000 miles run close to $550-$650 with ecm shiped so don't get burned !

1.6 are avalable in both vtec and non vtec and dohc vtec. What you should be concernd with is it a D or B series 1.6 that would make for a diffrent tranny.

if you are looking to do a D motor, get the d15 with vtec. its a jdm motor. theres a lot of diff between the USDM d15 and d16..the d16 is much stronger..what car are you lookin to put this in? that would help alot b/c of the OBD I & II issues as well b/c you may would need a harness to convert it
