Was under the truck looking around and found something that looks wrong. The tranny mount has 4 small bolts that go around very large bolt in the middle. My question is...Is the large bolt in the middle supposed to be threaded all the way in? Mine is hanging down about an inch.

With out looking at yours I would say it is normal for the age of the truck. You may be due to change yours. I know it is normal for a small amount of movement in it.

no, i have the same one and mine had that bolt thing in the center...from what i could tell it didnt really do anything. i assumed it was to adjust the tanny up and down so you could get the bolts in without using a floor jack or something... when i put in my 5 speed i had to get a new tranny mount for it. the new mount for the 5 speed doesnt have anything like that just the 4 bolts that go to the tranny.
