Putting a speaker in the right location and crossing it over should be your first concerns.I have seen guys put 600$ speakers in the doors and they will never outperform even the lowest end speaker in the kick panels or in the right spot in the dash.So think of that first.Get a good speaker that will allow for enough clearance to fit in a kick panel that you will make.I used xtant morel 6.5 and tweeter in my kick panels. It was my first time building them . Those speakers are certainly high end but not extreme and when I went to my first show the IASCA judge told me I had the best imaging he's ever heard. My stereo was far from cheap but there was a guy with a 60,000 install at a show and my front stage kicked the shit out of his.I doubt youll find phenominal speakers at 175$ but youll find great ones.Get ones with seperate tweets and cross everything over properly.Just remember that location is by far the most important thing, then signal quality, power then the speaker itself.Jl audio, xtant, aurasound, ads, image dynamics, infinity, mbquart, and even alpine or eclipse are all great brands that you may find in the price range.
