In the process of getting a 87/88 (not sure) Toy 5spd ext cab for cheap. according to my pops, its got a perfectly straight body and the guy drives it to work everyday, but according to him "needs work". I guess it has a super ton of miles on it. I havent looked at it or had a tech look either. So, i dont know exactly what is wrong..

.. Is there somewhere to get a new/rebuilt 22r ...

he also said it has tranny problems, im guessing clutch...

.. what do you think??

..22Rs came in a lot of other cars as well i think. like coronas, some celicas..not to sure.
anyway tranny probs prob wont be the clutch at a guess if it was the clutch the guy would say perhaps....
my gearbox was fried on my truck when i got it, no second gear, noisy as hell, wouldnt down shift. dont worry too much i bought one from the wrekors for 200 bucks and slotted in it in an afternoon with my g/fs dad, niether of us are mechanics and we managed it. buying broken cars is a challenge, can be fun but if urr not up to it you will get hell pissed off and not want to do it
