about how many quarts of paint/clear coat is needed to spray my 4 door accord? i just want one really really shiny dark blue color. also, where is the best place to get HOK paint. i looked at the eastwood company and ebay. any other places?

two quarts of good base coat 1 gallon of transtar clear and it will look like glass+ act

when i painted my accord i used a gallon of base, gallon of kandy, and a gallon of clear. pics are in profile....5 coats of each then wet sanded the clear with 2000 grit paper and buffed the hell outa it.

Id say that a gallon would be the safest route for you. Its always better to have to much paint rather then not enough...

wow have that "hybrid showoff" guy come out to phx and have his paint crack for being to thick.. it all depends on what color your using, if your using black a quart should do your entire car.. if you use a transparant color like limetime green, youll use a bunch and also paint a different color under it to help the transparency. you said a dark blue color, well your on the right start, now figure out what blue your talkin about. chevy ford dodge they all have a really dark "pretty" blue. you dotn have to use house of kolor, they cost way to much, your shiny shiny you want has to do with the clear. buy a good quality clear and spray away -youll be shiny shiny when your done color sanding and buffing your car..
