Hey guys. Good news... I was at work and got a call about a truck to go look at. I have a C10 thats working towards being full show and blew up my daily driver the other day. My brother calls about a friend with a truck. A 1993 Isuzu pickup. I went last night and checked it out. The thing is in really good shape and worth taking. It needs two new fenders and a hood and maybe bumper but grille etc. will be okay. The cab and doors are straight and so is the bed. Their is no rust at all in the body and the interior looks immaculant. Even the carpet and everything in is really clean shape. Its a 4cylinder and manual tranny.

Can someone please give me some more information on how the suspensions on these trucks work? It's completely stock down to the steelies and bench seat.

I'd just like to get it lower to the earth and replace the front end and see if I can get it running. The guy who owns it has a clean title and says it hasn't been started in like two months but last night the break lights and crap worked - He says it had been missing and that other than that was a good motor and always reliable..so maybe it just needs a full tune up.

Can anyone give me input on the front suspension and the motors in these trucks? I really want it/plan to take it and planned to buy the fenders and crap tommorrow.

Thanks guys.

crank the torsion bars down an throw some blocks out back and pull your bumpstops or at least trim them down. there are 2 bars running from the back of the lower arms. follow those back and you will see a big bolt head. losen them up a few turns at a time an set it back down. go for a ride around the block or bounce the front end up an down to get it to settle. you should be able to at the very least get rid of the wheel gap. just dont go too lose but you will notice if they are when you set it down.

take em out! no need for em haha. i loosened mine a bit to much on the mazda and it popped out (the bolt from the undercarriage i mean) didnt do any harm. if its like a mazda on stockers, the wheels will rub if u fully remove bumpstops and crank torsions a little.

Hey man thanks. I went and looked at it last night and couldn't get it to crank. It tried but I think the starter is dead. I'm calling a guy I know who owes me a favor who has a roll back to tow it this afternoon down to our shop so I can disassemble the front end and get access to the motor to check it all out.

Hey guys... I picked up the truck and had it towed to the shop building my fullsize in order to start the tear down and rebuild. I posted the pictures of it in a members section of Blazinlow and therefore will just paste the link here. This is not an advertisement for blazinlow of any sort, i'm simply in a rush to leave and don't have time to re-post them all here.

Let me know what you guys think so far!

on that truck you should be able to pull the torsions out completly with no problems i would even pull out the bump stops and at a small small peice of rubber and out back you can fun a monoleaf setup with some rubber betweeen the frame and the axle and you will be set to go

Small update! I cranked down the torsion bars and have the rear torn apart for 2" lowering blocks. I'm having to grind the nipple a little on the lowering blocks because its too big for the size hole in our springs.

I also ordered two brand new fenders and a rollpan. Today I'll take more pictures once its lowered and I remove the rest of the pin striping and wash to hell out of it.

Still haven't even signed the title yet and the damn thing is lowered and soon to be with a rollpan - Yes I know its fiberglass/I can't weld it up smooth, but I still am keeping my plans of just rebuilding this truck and repainting it to drive every day, not turn it into a hardcore mini like my fullsize!
