This has already been answered i know but i can't find it you can get away with running 3" cans front and back right?
DodgeRT   +1y
no
DBLT8K   +1y
can anyone confirm that

3" cans up front will require a lot of pressure to lift. may require too much pressure. just use 3.5-4.0" cans.

alright thanks adam

We've got 3.5s in the front of the Prelude and it takes 155 psi to get it up. My wagon has 4 inch cans and it gets up no problem at 120 psi.
I have the pressure in the Prelude set at 170 psi and I can only get it up once with 6 gallons of air.
My wagon can get up about 5 times with it set at 145 psi.

So, what I am saying is, if possible, use the 4 inchers.

^^^"it takes 155 psi to get it up" HAHAHAHAHA, SORRY THAT JUST SOUNDS VERY SEXUAL.

Sorry to Hjiack this thread, but I have had major dramas with installing a EAI 93 civic can kit in my 95 accord.

I finally got the civic mounts to fit my accord, but the problem is the shop where I am getting teh install said I need like 190psi to lift the front, and the back near jumps off the ground at this pressure.

They reckon at 150 psi the back goes up and down ok, but the front cylinders wont lift the weight of the car up...

Does this sound like bullshit to you guys?!?

The civic and the accord I presumed would use the same cans, but he reckons I would need huge pressure to get em to work properly (even though the cans are rated at 150 psi max...)

At this stage he is trying to persuade me to buy a set of his cylinders that dont have a shaft as big (I think they are Blowjax)

I am running all 1/2" lines, cylinders, valves,3cfm pump 2 x 3 gal tanks ...

3 inch smc will lift it with a little more pressure than the 4s,,but why would ya do this,,,jsut run the 4s,,,,EAI cans are shitty as hell,,,sell the stuff and get smc from adam at MIC and it will raise up fast with 150 psi 1/2 lines,,,,,i have replaced many sets of eai crapyy cans with the smcs,,,10 times the quality,,,the 4 inch blowjax will last ya a while but they will go out eventually and they cant be rebuilt,,,just get the 4 inch smc and do it right the first time

Man I still cant work out why it cant lift the front at 150 psi!

How much do SMC cans retail for??
