Ive got a 05 Silverado with a 5.3L in it and was just curious what people thought of Borla and their exhausts...

I like the rumble it gives when you let off the throttle... and doesnt seem excessively loud.I do alot of highway driving and I dont want to listen to a loud exhaust all the time. The truck only has a single stock exhaust right now... but I want SOME sound and a dual exhaust, even if its only from the muffler back.

What about converting it to a true dual exhaust and the O2 sensor?

Hello? Is this thing on?

anyone compared Borla to a Flowmaster cat-back?
Is Borla worth the extra money?

Personally I am a fan of the Flowmaster exhausts, they are a deep throaty exhaust. I have heard alot of Mustangs running the Borla exhausts, but never really anything else so I cant tell you how it would sound on your truck. But I know the Flowmaster is a nice sounding exhaust. Just thought Id give you another option.

well you can go with a true dual exhaust system if you want but its really unessacary on that truck. plus true duals is louder than a single inlet muffler with dual outlets. I have true dual flowmasters on my 98 Tahoe and its loud with cats and Iam about to take the cats off. The main reason I went with flowmaster and true duals is because i knew what it would sound like and its was super easy on my truck because it was bacialy set up for it stock. You can buy 02sims from jegs if you decided to get rid of the cats and the 02 sensors. It tells the computer that everything is ok. Ive already done that on my Tahoe.
