I have a 96 blazer i just bodydropped 4-1/4"'s.. My question is i have a 283 SBC v8 im dropping in it in a couple weeks what problems am i goin to run into?
mike, your question is soooo vague. what do you really want to know? if you cn body drop your blaze, im sure you wont have any probs puttin in a v8. and why a 283? i hope that was a mistype and you meant a 383...
I was j/w if my distibutor would hit the friewall, or am i gonna have any trouble with my steering?? And yes its a 283, my grandpa gave it to me as a gift only has 2k on it, i got it tore it down dropped 3 grand in it now its time to go in..
run into alot of problems depending on how crazy you want it to be , with a 4 1/4" bd your gonna have to make mounts to keep it under a stock hood. your gonna have to get a real low profile intake manifold like a edelbrock performer. a small cab distributor because it will be close to the firewall..... a short/slim style water pump because your gonna need to run electric fans. and some s10 v8 headers , that you might have clearance issues with big wheels like 20's or 22's the control arms hit the headers.....unless you get BYC a arms but dont count on recieving them for about ....3-4 months
