I just was wondering if any of you guys with stock spindles and dropped or stock lca's have flipped your lowers? Im thinking about doing this to get a little more drop in the front. Ive been told that it is necessary with the belltech spindles but i dont know about the stock ones. I also wanted to know if i needed to drill out the taper so they will fit upsidedown.

see if mcgauhtys has a spindle for it there kit flip the ball joint and we have never had a problem with them..

they only make spindles for the newer rams not the 94-01 style. i just figured i could get more drop by flipping it. Ill try it before i take my truck off the road for the winter because i think im gonna get the belltech ones in the spring.

Did you ever cut that piece of metal were the lower A arm was hitting? I just finished cutting mine and i trimed my lower bag cup a bit and now i lay frame up front. Im using djm lower and upper arms and the stock spindles. The only problem is the upper ball joint looks like its twistin too much when aired out.

i think it touches a little but i trimmed a good amount away. and yea the upper looks pretty maxed out. Thats why i was thinking if i flipped the balljoints or actually just flipfloped my lower djm's i could not only gain more clearence in that sout where it was hitting before but i would also be able to bolt my bag to the arm because of that plate on the bottom and how it has a hole in the middle.

if you flip the lower balljoint you will have to drill and sleeve the spindle because the balljoint are tapered, if the arms Mike at BYC is building does what they are suppose to it should solve all balljoint problems

friend of mine found some 2" drop spindles for his 99 ram about a year ago. $120 altogether. He's about 1/2" from layin on 20's, but his uca's are maxed out. Does DJM uppers fix this problem? But yea, you gotta redrill the stock spindles if you want to flip the balljoints.

i would buy the whole set instead of just uppers plus it would look better
