anyone know ????

I doubt the emmisions will still work, meaning your stock sender isn't going to fit. If that isn't a factor I'm sure you can use it. Or you can weld your sender boss onto the other tank.

so u dont think i can just run the lines to it and wire up the pump....im using the fuel pump that came in the 87 tank if it will work

The 87 has the same emmissions lines? I wouldn't think so. If not, your check engine light will stay on and it wont pass smog. Pull both senders and do an ohm reading on the level sender for starters. Then see what fuel pressure the 87 put out and what your 01 does. Im pretty sure they are different.

oh ok i see ...well i dont have smog here anyways ..u think i can use my sender and stuff with the 87 tank?

Well if that's the case, I'd run a cell and external pump. Damn no smog? You lucky bastard! The only real issue you have than is the level sender ohms being the same and the fuel pressure. You may be able to just swap the pumps from sender to sender to solve the pressure issue, but you need an ohm reading to confirm the level sender crossover.
