Im kinda curious if i could just file the inside of the hub that i have so that it fits over the steering shaft, dave shulman told me he filed his down and beat it on with a hammer and a 2x4.

^^ LOL that sounds like some ghetto customs right there, "if it dont fit beat it with a 2x4 til it fits!!!!"

If I was you I'd look at any adapter for an earlier F-150...you got a 04 right?? I think that the steering column has the same spline as an earlier F-150 (around 98 ). As the people for that adapter (Lecarra, Grant, momo...).

They won't sell you an adapter for a truck with an airbag equipped steering wheel....even tho they know an adapter for an earlier truck would fit just because it's "illegal" to get rid of the airbag.

The first thing you have to do is check with your Ford dealership if your truck has the same steering column as a 98 F-150. If so I'm pretty sure you can have an adapter for your truck (at least Grant makes one ).

I hope it helps you a bit and that I'm not too late.

The Grant adapter can be found for around 40-80 U$ depending on the place you buy 'em.
