Sounds like the fuel filter. When you crank it up, it pulls dirt from the bottom of the filter, eventually starving the motor and shutting off. Then the dirt settles back to the bottom, allowing it to be started again and ran for a while before it clogs again. Start with that since it is the cheapest fix. If that's the problem, you will have saved alot of money, and if it isn't, then you can move on to the next part in line, all the while, knowing you have a clean filter allowing clean fuel to run through the brand new parts!
