i just bought 2 10" rf power hx2's and the salesman was tellin me my rockford power 1000a2 didnt have enough power to push both subs without a chanceof damaging the amp or the subs. the subs are rated at 1000 rms/2000 peak so i figure i would be good. my and has 2 1 fared caps so the power is there for it. am i good with just one amp or is he just tryin to sell me an amp. i just dont want to mess up my amp or subs. let me know guys. thanks for reading

no u will not mess up ur speakers but it's best to push around 75% of what the speakers can handle

100 watts on 2 tens is great power for boom or sq.Of course it will be louder with 2 amps depending on voice coil configurations.I believe a quality sub can take as much clean power that you can give it ,given it is steeply crossed over.I had 4 15 jlw3 with 1200 watts to each .It was x over with a slope of 48 db per octave and at a surprisingly low 50 hz.I had no problems and it never even distorted with full signal.I guess the xmax of the sub was also phenomenal. This crossover point is extremely low and is not necessary but 24 db per octave and 70 -80 hz is great.

IT is better too over power ur subs a little than to under power ur them but ur amp will do the job just fine
