I have a 98 stang that is right now running 1/2 inch lines to the front (the back isn't done yet) and I was wondering since I am going to be running new lines when I get the back done should I stick with the 1/2 or should I swap to 3/8s? I feel like the main line I have running to the front is getting the sh*t beat out of it on speed bumps and I was thinking of running the smaller line so I don't risk popping the line one day while driving around. I have noticed some other guys running around with 3/8 lines and I was wondering how it is working out for them. I like having the faster response with 1/2 lines and if I stick with them then I would probably do hard lines but I was wondering how extreme the difference would be in response time and such with the 3/8 lines. Also, does anyone know where you can pick up some stainless braided sleeved line that is longer than just the 18 inch ones I have seen. Thanks.

If the line is installed so that it is possible to grind it off with 1/2"....3/8 isn't going to help you. You can get the stainless braid at any performance shop or order though Jegs and Summit.

Well my car doesnt lay out so I dont worry about the line too much, its just when I'm riding low and I hit something that I am concerned about. I tried to run the line through the inside so that it wouldn't be outside but the risk of kinking the line was pretty big, so I ran the line under the car. Lucky for you guys with actual frames on your rides, you can line them with that, unlike us unibody guys! lol
