i have a lincoln 110 mig. i know most use a 220 but but i was wondering if its a good idea to use the 110 on frame work. its says its capable of doing up to 1/4 in steel but im not sure how much of a good idea that is.

I have done it and seen it done, most people say to use flux on framework just because it gets hotter. As long as you can get good penetration you should be alright

bevel the edges and be sure to get good penitration and you should be fine

so should i use flux core or the mig wire, and whats bevel the edges?

i use solid wire w/ 75/25 gas with my lincoln 135, bevel the edges, and do 2 passes.

and run it on D with the wire speed at about 4.5 and go slooooow.

i had a lincoln electric 3200hd, got it from home depot, i used that thing for 3 years. never had a problem with any suspension work cracking or breaking. i just upgraded to a milermatic 210 a couple of months ago, and damn, i swear that thing will weld anything
