can you put a 20r dual timing chain a 22re?
kdcgrohl   +1y
no. wrong length chain. also wont fit behind 22r cover.

LCE makes a conversion kit tho, makes it pretty easy.

whats the difference between the 22r cover an 20r?reason im wantin i can get one for free.i have axcess to 4 different toyotas.3 late 70s an 1 84-88.

pre 85 block is taller, therefore, chain is longer cover is taller. 85-95 are all "basically" the same.

also, just as good practice, you should never recycle a timing chain. gears maybe, guide if they're perfect, but not the chain. Toyota suggests replacement around 80,000 miles.

What part of NC you from and where are the yotas. I'm in need of a booster from the 79' to 83'
kdcgrohl   +1y

the booster you need is not for those years only, dont restrict your search to those. my 94 came stock w/ the small diameter booster.
