Mark out your area to be cut and on the ends where its round use a drill bit to get your initial hole on both sides, then use a die grinder to cut out the straight lengths.

i did what TJ said, then used my small file set to get them to fit just perfect. the way they mount you'll need to make 2 "L" brackets for each one & weld them onto the inside or your gate/pan/skin (wherever you're putting them).
the problem with those are the lenses are non-refractive so to make them legal (at least in WA) i sprayed a heavy coat of red pearl over them. that also made them "somewhat reflective" too. that was good enough for me to take it down to vehicle inspections & have them signed off on (it cost me an additional case of beer since i didn't place them "...as widely spaced as possible...")
don't forget the TAC units, or at least trailer wiring since they're only a 2 wire unit.
one last bad thing is that they aren't flat. the surface of them are slightly convex so they aren't truely flush-mount. that means you can't paint over them & hide them in your graffix.
they have their +'s & -'s but for $20 ea they're badass.
Good Luck Man & sorry for the small novel.
