DOES THAT CARBON CANISTER UNDER THE BED HAVE TO BE ON THERE TO RUN CORRECTLY. MY TRUCK RUNS LIKE SHIT BUT IT HAS NEVER BEEN ON THERE SINCE I BOUGHT IT. I HAVE NEVER DROVE IT FAR EITHER. IT WILL RUN GOOD WHEN YOU REV IT UP BUT IT WONT IDLE AT ALL. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

have you put fuel injector cleaner in it lately?

YES AND A FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR A 02 SENSOR AND PLUGS WIRES COIL ALL THAT CRAP AND ALL NEW VACUUM LINES AND VACUM PARTS.

i would say that it has nothing to do with the carbon box..i drove my 94 s10 100 thousand miles with out one and it ran perfect and i dont have one on my 99 mazada abd i know most people try to keep them...its just an emmisions thing and if u have a newer truck it can cause a check engine light....i would double check all you vaccume lines which is easy on that year considering there are few but pay more attention to all spark realted items..i know my buddy bout this 95 s10 from this guy for a few hundred bucks becuase some mechanic told him it was about to blow and we changed the distributer coils on the side of the engine with the ones from my 94 after i crashed it and it ran like new...its most lickley somthing stupid like that you just have to find it.

I HAVE TRIED EVERTHING POSSIBLE. EVER 10 TIMES YOU START THOUGH IT WILL IDLE LIKE NORMAL. IT IS STUPID I WOULD LIKE TO FIND ANOTHER MOTOR CAUSE NOW MINE IS LEAKING MAD AMOUNTS OF OIL OUT THE REAR SEAL

it sounds like a problem with your timing.....check your distributor rotor and cap.if not you may have stretched the timing chain out

I tried removing the box when I bagged mine. It ran bad w/o it. Put it back on and everything was fine.

it shouldnt cause any problems being removed me and my dad removed mine while installing my bags 60,000 miles ago, hes a mechanic and said i didnt need it, just capped off the lines that went to it, i've never had a problem without it

actually it will give you a check engine light
