Im new to the site but i had a quick question. I want to get a set of rims for my 03 silverado. im not bagging it but i do have a lowering kit on it right now. im looking at the SSM's 22 billets and they say they have a soft lip? what does that mean. are their any downsides to daily driving with billets?

How big of a tire are you going to put on it?? I used to have 18 inch billets on my Yota with 35 series tire and they got pretty beat up..

The only downside to running aluminum wheels on your daily vs. chrome is maintenance. Aluminum (billet or otherwise) is much more porous than chrome or paint, so you have to polish.

I'm running 18" Budnik Famosa's on my daily and it was a b!tch until the Mothers Powerball hit the shelves. Every two or three months just give them a little attention and they'll be fine.

go slow and dont hit every damn pott hole and you will be fine. And billet looks better than chrome anyway so dont listen to peps that are to lazy to polish some baddass wheels.
