my neighbor has a 93 s 10 with a 4.3. it will only start if you pour gas in the throttle bodie. i doesn't sound like the fuel pump is coming on. wher is the fuse and relay for the fuel pump. when she parked it in her yard for katrina it ran fine then a few days later nothing. any suggestions would be great.

fuel pump relay should be under the hood on the drivers fender. at least thats where it was on my 86

yea, had the same problem with mine a few months ago, it was the fuel pump relay, on my 93 its on the drivers side firewall, its one of the 2 plugs

my 94 has a connector under the hood that will apply power directly to the pump. you just connect +12v to it. i found it in the chilton manual.

i know on the later s10's there is a ground in the taillight harness that has to be attached. otherwise the pump won't come on so you might want to check that out. good luck

thanks got it started. apparantly when the water came up with katrina some rats decided to move into the engine compartment. re wired the relay and it cranked right up. i am a ford guy but i was really surprised by the power that that 4.3 has. it moved that truck pretty well.
