so my sfbd is almost done, but we ran into a little snag and am looking for opinions. i want to keep my stock gas tank, but to make that possible i would have to raise the small section in the cab that the tank sits under. we have the option to move it back towards the rear end to clear the cab but then it would hit the rear end. im running a reverse 4 link (which i know isnt the best setup) so i have no place to put the tank. and in the bed is no option. what u think??

get it cleaned out, section the end that goes under the cab out, use a gas tank sealer kit from eastwood, and then boom, just dont have the capacity that you used to.

well if you wanted a stockfloor body drop to begin with keep it a stockfloor and put a notch in the stock gas tank..i made a whole new tank out of steel and used that eastwood kit and it sealed it great and didnt rust...just cut the top of the tank off and take a dressing wheel and sand the inside of the tank where it was cut to get that zinc coating or whatever the yota's is and put some 1/8" on it and weld it then buy some muriatic acid and the eastwood gas tank sealer kit and you will never have another problem again...cutting the tank is the more expensive route but personally its what i would do, cutting the floor looks retarded and factory re-pro carpets will never fit it right. Cause if you want to ditch that tank and do a forward 4 link later on(which you will do) you wont have a big ugly hump in the cab, notch the tank for now

well why not just have a stock replacement built and install in stock location http://www.seriouslyinsaneautoconcepts.com/fuel_tanks.htm
