ok, i hope i can explain this right.
so i have my a/c pump, motor, whatever you call it off my truck.. im looking at it, and it has two holes.. one for looks like sucking air in, and one that is pushing air out. I put my finger over each hole and seen that it does this. My question is, if i was to tap into them, and put an airline on the output, and to my tanks, and put a filter on the input, would this work. I would also put a pressure switch into the plug/wires so it would turn off, and also a water trap, from the line out.. so no oil gets into my tank and bags.. would this shit work or do i need a york? my dad has a york, that needs a new clutch for it.. but thats alot of $$$$
anyone who knows if this would work, let me know.. if no one knows, im going to try it.
thanks

no. 134 refrigerant systems are oiled by the actual refrigerant. you'd have to get an older compressor. York seems to be the popular choice. they are messy, and require maintenance, but put out killer air.

ok.. i wonder if the clutch will work with the york my dad has.. he bought a new one because his locked up.. he said i can have the shit... i got all happy , then he told me that it needs a new clutch..
i was like %$#^$%^&&

I HAVE TRIED TO CONVERT A COUPLE DIFFRENT A/C COMPRESSORS AND THE ONLY ONE THAT WORKS WELL ENOUGH FOR BAGS IS A YORK.

GO TO A JUNK YARD, AND GET THE CLUTCH, CROWN VICS AND OLDER FORDS HAVE THE YORK COMP.. MAKE SURE TO RUN A OILER OR OIL IT LIKE EVERY COUPLE O DAYS, AND RUN A OIL SEPERATOR

I tried the A/C comp before I went with the york and it seized up fairly quick. Def change to the york when you can. It's so freakin fast and it doesn't vibrate/noisy. It's been a few months since I installed it and I havn't had to put oil in it yet! I run it at 200 psi and it does just fine.

ok, will try to get to the junkyard soon

Vegas, I converted my stock a/c over and it works fine. Fills 8gal tank 0 to 120psi in about 1 1/2 min.

on the suction side I went: air filter > oiler >hoe > compressor. and I reused the factory hoses.

Pressure side: compressor >hose > check valve > seperator > tanks,

I have a Viar 120/180 pressure switch wired to the factory foglight switch in the cab (manual overide) then to compressor.

If you want I can get some pics of my set up.
