I'm new to this so cut me some slack on this but can I run 20's on my 88 ranger if I just lay frame with any problems like with lift or my ac unit?

is it bagged or static dropped?

i'm also curious to know what it take to lay a ranger out with 20s on beams..i know it can be done..my friend just got 20s for his 94 and i'm supposed to be baggin it in a few months for him..it wont be a daily so i can do pretty much whatever, but at the same time he doesnt have the biggest pockets so keepin the beams is a must. i guess layin it out wont be the hard part, but getting enuff lift the clear the tires to turn is what i'm more curious about and how much needs to be cut and all the good stuff...late

it can be done. u gota z the frame, trim the fuck outa the engine xmember and get some expensive slam bags and hope u get enuf lift.

It will be bagged, The main worry I have it getting enough lift out of the front. I want to do stock floor on it later but for now I just want to lay frame

if your worried about lift go with dros with ibeams especially you can get crazy lift and yes it can be done on 20s notchin the front of the frame sectioning the oil pan and some other little odds and ends

anything can be done. My brother and I got his 89 to lay body on 22's with I BEAMS...its a first all around I believe. Its got a long way to go, he actually sold the wheels, put the truck up for sale. Who knows where hes going with it right now, would've been sweet though. Maybe I'll make a profile for it ...

profile is up...

from my experience on baggin a ranger, the A/C s definately gotta go. gotta relocate the radius arms outside of the frame, and use a raised tranny x-member. ive heard of mounting bags on the raidus arms for more lift, but never seen one setup. juice is also a viable option for lift and clearance issues.
