ok after sitting in laidlows10's yota at ass n grass i realized cthat a conventional body drop on a yota is definitely NOT FAT KID FRIENDLY if you know what i mean! so right then i decided on a stock floor body drop!now heres the ? because of the size of the stock frame if i used 2x3 will i still have to raise the floor a little to lay rocker?

turn it sideways and you shouldnt have to but your still gonna have to raise the tranny tunnel a bunch

Man what ever you do,don't lay box tubing side ways...I don't care what anyone one say's thats done it,they need to go back to school and read up on building safe frames...I hate seeing so many dudes just buy'n steel and thinking as long as its welded together its all good...nothing against john,he's my homie, but lower your cab mounts and just bring the rails in for some extra inch's,like a channel job...Then make tunnel for the front of the trany and drive shaft...

if you dont want to raise the floor you can also run 2x2 on the outer frame rails and some 2x3 right near the driveshaft since you have to raise that part anyway. heres an example. raising the floor a little bit doesnt realy make a difference as far as headroom, but if you realy dont wanna raise the floor i would do it this way instead of flipping it sideways.
