okay, I dont have an engineering degree, but it just seems like the end of a wishbone has to take alot of stress. I dont know anyone that has used one, but it may be an option I would like to run with. Also, if a wishbone end is okay, couldnt you make a wishbone like a C shape, with 2 bars running parallel to the frame and the front bar connecting and mounted in the center? Just wondering........

from a racing standpoint, the wishbone 3 link is a very good setup, but because some people like to hit sides, it can have excess stress on the front bushing, but you can remedy that by using a nice quality heimjoint or a johnny joint.

we use "poly flex joints" or "johnny joints" on wishbones that will be used for alot of side to side movement. they are awesome if you want a no binding articulation. here is a pic..http://www.suicidedoors.net/images/products/S10_Super_Pivot_Wishbone.jpg
