Bodyshop off topic ?

Hey guys and gals. this is for people that work in bodyshops. let's hear some stories about stupid customers that you had to deal with. eg. i was taking out trash at the end of the day and a customer came to pick up his car and was looking down the side and said "Man you guys do real good work it's amazing what you guys can do" he patted me on the back and said thanks and i said no problem but.... lets take a look at the other side, the side we fixed. another guy came into a dealership i worked at screaming "WHERE"S MY CAR!!! IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE LAST FRIDAY NOT THIS WEDNESDAY!!!" i asked the guy what kind of car it was and his name and i'd try to help him out. as he told me the info he stops in the middle of saying it's a '97 firebird and says "OH HELL!!! this isn't the Pontiac dealership"

holy shit i dont even know where to start on this one...i work at a dealership so i hear about stupid customers not only in the body shop but service as well...especially warranty ones...the other day..some redneck lookin kid comes in with a rusted out bondo fallin off paint peelin 90 some chevy truck..wants us to WARRANTY the peeling paint...RIGHT! we had another one where a lady was driving a all wheel drive pontiac aztec...its winter time..she goes in the ditch with it..says we should warranty it because its all wheel drive and it shouldnt have went in the ditch....then of course you always get the people that will pick apart there ENTIRE car with a fine tooth comb..even tho we didnt touch parts of the car...ANY little thing they can find is OUR fault..be it rock chips..scratches..whatever..they blame us..and we cant do SHIT unless we have made note of something before hand...some people are stupid

Man, I have so many stories I dont even know were I would start. Ill have to think about it for a bit and get back to you on this one haha.

Every idiot that comes into my shop wanting a body restoration or a show paint job for $1500, but usually when i tell them i wont even paint it for that, it gets rid of em quick.

I got one .. so this lady brings in this brand new black Denali that we repainted cuz of some stuff in the factory paint well anyways we get it all done and buff and wax it all and then when she come to pick it up she goes over everylittle piece of the damn car and then looks at the bug shield and goes " hey! waht are those chips doin in the bug sheild!" and my manager goes.. well a bug shield protects rocks from chippin your hoodsoo i guess its doin its job.. another good one.. this guy comes in and asked are manager if he can get a free rental car and get the damage cost jacked up so he can get money in his pocket.. dump shats..

Alright this guy comes in, driving a newer F-150, black with some rust on the hood, lower fenders and a scratch and a dent on the bedside, and we write it up for like 1500 or something and he freaks out asking why its so much, then we explained to him that we had to paint and reclear the entire surface of the area of the work, he thought we could just paint the little spots that needed it and make it look like nothing happened, he left pissed, while the whole shop was laughing

Had one yesterday. this lady with a 67 Chevy II came to us to get a new door glass seems the local glass shop couldnt get it right so we ordered one from somewhere back east, and it comes in wrong. order again get it in right. Get her to bring the car in and we get the glass changed out then take it the the same glass shop to have it tinted so it will match. Not a half hour later we get a call from her saying we were seen out hotrodding it aound town. her teenage son was at lunch when we took it. yah the piece of crap will barly haul its self aound. then when she comes to pick it up she freaks out on our manager that we werent to move it let alone drive it off of our property. he very nicely told her to f*** off and not to come back.

lol, never really delt with people i only see the customers with the pile of shit cars pick and pick the cars to death but the people with the benz will hop right in and drive away

last week i had a 99 acura 3.0 cl come in and it was hit pretty good in the front, so we got it done . and the lady called me and ask if we move shop and i was like no? ,then she told me well i am sitting in front of your shop and i do not see my car. well come to fined out she was on a different side of town and could not remember were we were at. fu%$ air head, then when here boyfirend and here showed up they ask me y we did not paint the rear bumper and we told them that the insure. only payed us to fix the front that the car was not rear ended. then he called the next day and ask y the head light were so bright now. i told him because both of them were new. i geuss thow to were meant for one other so they can remined each other to breath. morrons!
