I just wanted to see what you guys think about these? Im thinking about getting one and using it to do random shit like body work and suspension work. Do you think it willbe sufficient and what are your opinions of them?

I was considering the 175, but I plan to do a lot of welding on 1/4" and thicker metals, so the duty cycle of the 175 wasn't what I wanted. I went to the Miller 210. But for bodywork and random welding of thick metals, the 175 is a great choice

Yeah, the 175 is awsome. I run a hobart 175 at home and I did my whole truck so far with it, don't need any larger unless you decide to run a shop out of your garage. You wont max it out doin chassis/body work. It's good up to at least 1/4" in a single pass I belive. My welding teacher is the vice chair of the B.C. chapter of the American Welding Society and he also runs one at home and loves the freakin thing, although he's been welding for 55 years!!

Ive used lincolns and millers, they both work awesome. One thing that made me exchange my lincoln 135 for a miller 135 though was the parts on the inside were all plastic and felt cheap.. while the Miller is all metal and feels more durable. plus i like the color of Millers better lmao..i need a 175 too though!

I've had that welder for a little over a year now and not one complaint.

does it run 110v or 220v cuz i have no 220v connection at my town house and i am looking in to getting a welder so i can do body work in my parkinglot also would there be a better choice if i wasnt going to weld up anything past 3/16?
