Okay y'all might remember me as the guy who was looking at a couple 67-72 Chevy trucks in my area. Anyways, I have found a 1970 Chev that I have decided on. What I am wondering is in what order should I do the things I want to do to this truck? I want to have the trucks on bags, I want to paint it and I want a nicer engine then the stock. What should I do first? The reason I ask is should I have the bags done before painting it? Should I have the different engine (different weight?) in before getting the bags done? All these questions so I figured I would come to y'all and ask your opinion. Thanks in advance.

1. Decide on motor/tranny so you can make mounts and do any firewall or sheetmetal work.
2. Frame work, driveline and bag work with your wheel and tires and any sheetmetal those things affect.
3. Body
LOL that sounds so easy, obviously I left out like 1000 things. Most important thing to do before doing anything is have the parts decided on. No use starting a build and then going backwards because you didn't even know what you were going to do. Of course you'll probably change your mind about something along the way and want to redo it, but at least make an attempt to avoid some of them.

Okay that is the order I was thinking. Now that we have that figured out what size engine would you recommend. What I am looking for is an upgrade on the original motor with more power. I am not looking to race it but would want something that has a kick to it. Thanks again guys for your knowledge.
