They say 40, but we had one on a running off a 40 amp continous(50 amp spike) ac/dc converter and it was pulling more that the 40,

Well Guys,
Here goes the stats. No matter what pressure I start with or go to, The Air-Zenith Compressor takes no longer than 1 minute. From 0-100, from 100-140, from 140-160, all these took less than 1 minute, and that's on a 5 gallon tank. Those numbers are for the front and back having equal pressure. Hope these help answer some questions. Oh yeah all those stats were ran within about 10 mins. of each other, so that should tell you something about how good this compressor is. I would tell anybody to buy one, it is outdoing the Thomas 4101(the big one)compressor that I had for the past 2-1/2 years. I am sure that this one compressor will outdo 2 Viar 450's.

We have found if you use a Viair leader hose on it it performs even better..

any way to get an exact fill time?

I did the math on your numbers and this is what I got.

0-100 PSI -2.95 CFM @ 140 PSI100-140 PSI -2.45 CFM @ 140 PSI140-160 PSI -1.52 CFM @ 140 PSI

All based of 1 min 0 sec fill time.

so I can not get a good CFM ratting from your numbers, thanks for any info,

even at 1.52CFM at 140 that is better then a VIAIR 550C 0.92CFM at 140 !!

Doug,

I don't have any exact #'s, but I know that I have been running the compressor for about a week now and no matter what pressure I go from or to, no matter how much I use the compressor(back-to-back), it never has taken more than a minute. Actually it hasn't even taken more than 45 seconds.

Onyx,

If you plan on running 2 of these you had better get a high-ouput alternator and run a battery just for the compressors. I thought about running 2, but after seeing the draw that 1 put on my charging system I don't think that I want to w/out running a better alternator and a 2nd battery. The only reason that I would run 2 is to have 1 compressor/tank for the front, and then have 1 compressor/tank for the rear. So far though the 1 compressor still hasn't taken more than 45 seconds to a minute to fill my tank at any pressure.
