I was looking into using a nitrous bottle for a air tank and I was wondering if anyone has used one before? What needs to be done to get it to work? Better yet, where can I get one and not have to purchase the whole system with it? lol Thanks!

it could be done but to use an actual nitrous bottle like one fron NOS or Venom would cost you a pretty penny and prolly wouldnt hold much air.

i used one for a vw that i bagged and it is true that it doesn't hold much air but it worked. i just had the bottom of the tank tapped out with one 1/2 inch port and ran a dummy braided line that the kit came with. looks cool if your into that fast and furious stuff lol

not to much into that f&f look but I just think two tanks on the sides of my trunk painted to match my outside would look pretty cool. Thanks for the info!

you coulg get away with a larger size nitrogen bottle and if you were to buy it you could paint it what ever you like.

i have 8.5 gallons under the bed, and a nitrous bottle under my backseat for a little extra storage (2.5gallons or so). My dad had an old billet bottle laying around, so I used it. I just hooked a regular compression fitting into it, and T'd it into my airtank

how much psi will a nitrous bottle hold?

the bottles will hold well more than what any compressor you will find will put out....i think they are rated somewhere between like 1500-3000 psi
