How many of you guys have fully shaved or at least molded tailgate and rollpans. I know someone makes a cali-combo, but I believe its metal. This concept is retarded. Am I confused and its actually fiberglass or do you have to use that special compound to mold it in.
What have you guys done to fully shave the rear? The only thing I can think of besides using the stuff that can bond metal and fiberglass, is making a mold of the metal one and then making my own fiberglass calicombo. This just seems like a ton of work.

I have mine fully shaved. I took the tailgate and made a fiberglass mold of it same with the taillights. then hand molded a rollpan and fiberglass everthing together. If you do shave everthing make sure you have a brace near the back so the fiberglass doesn't crack. IT took me a couple of days to do mine. the pictures that are on my profile where done about a year ago and I havent had any cracks yet
nobody else has a shaved rear on a flairside?

Weld what you can. Fusion the rest.
I kept my tailgate just welded as much as possible. Then filled in the rest.
how much is the fusion stuff?
how easy is it to work with, smoothing wise?
you guys say weld as much as you can you mean shaving the tailgate and attaching the rollpan to the tailgate, correct?
how do u actually make a fiberglass mold casue that looks badass, i wanna weld mine to but i didnt wanna by the cal combo and ya it bows out to much u no
will just add.. whatever you do, reinforce the back of the bed Strongly to keep the bed solid. Too much flexing of the bed and you will get cracks. good luck with everything, cali combos look sickk on stepside rangers .
if i knew he profile's name i would show you.
he has a bright orange stepside on 19's(i think).his came out the best in my opinion.his or the yellow one.
