I'm in the same boat with you. i just picked up a pretty clean c-10 and i'm wanting to lay it out on some 22s. i don't know what all it's going to take to do it. i just got rid of my 88 s-10 bagged and bodydropped on 20s

i also have a 78 c-10 im fixing to bag and body drop, and from all the stuff i have seen and heard there are ways to lay frame without z the frame

i have a 79, im thinking of doing this winter.. I havnt did any baggin yet or anything just lowerd it a little and my bottom conrol arms are 3.5 (with my lil grandpa rims) from the ground and it still looks like 4x4 highth.. if you just bag it the controls and xmember layout befor the frame.. , if you section the crossmember you get about an 1.5+in , and dont have to z it as much or at all.. alot of work to do it the right way.. those frames are known for crackin in the area you have to cut it to Z it.. so be sure to box it up real good if you go that route...

Yeah if you want to lay flat frame your going to have to raise that front crossmember either by a Z in the frame or by notching the crossmember into the frame. Either way you go your gonna run into a few things like having to put joints in the steering rod to make it clear the upper control arms and little things like that.

I went with the Z and did a stock floor body drop to lay DOOR on 22's, just need the 22's.

any build pics?

If you want to see pictures of the buildup look at my profile and Luke knows what he is talking about so listen to him. I did not Z mine, i just raised the cross member but either way works.

If you want some pictures, I got a 87 C10 with a bunch of pictures to help you get a better idea of Z'ing the frame. Take a look at my profile.
