as for painting door panels or any plastic, sand off the old paint someone didnt prep very well if it is chipping off. sand it off with 120 then wet sand with 320 then 600 hundred. wont hurt to sand with a little greased lightning mixed in your water to get rid of any grease and silicone that may be there. if you want it smooth with know factory ridges then get some high build primer for plastic prime wet sand with 600 and prime again. until it is smooth. wet sand one last time then paint clear and you are ready to go. hope this helps you out.
