lug bolt stripped cant get the lug nut off, ideas?

On my 94 ranger i have 18's with wheel adapters, the one adapter lug bolt has stripped threads (or it is the threads in lug nut im not sure) but I am trying to take the lug nut off it just spins and spins freely while staying on the lug itself, does anyone have any good ideas of how to get the lug nut off? im about to just drill through and try chiseling the lug nut apart. Anyone have experience with this? just want some ideas or tricks that would make this go better..I dont want to screw up the wheel at all. any help is appreciated, thanks

undo the other 4, then have a friend pull on the wheel while you use an impact to undo it....

I got mine off with a torch just held it in the lug hole didn't even touch the rim

AND THEN BUY BETTER LUG NUTS.

get a socket thats a little bit bigger then the one thats suppost to be used on the lug then pound it on now it should come off.
