this is what i've learned from others from asking a million questions (Correct any of it if I make a mistake!) the basic idea you gotta have is you want your lower bars and upper bars parallel to the ground at ride height, and also your pinion angle set at that height. The upper bars you want triangulated as far as possible but make sure they clear everything. You would usually cut off your stock leaf spring perches so you will be able to use longer bars and move them to the inner side of the frame so nothing drags. You can do that with new hanger type brackets, or a crossmember.
Get a basic Idea of where everything will go, and where your mounting points will be.. and take measurements. From the center of each mounting point as where the tabs would be. You can order all 4 bars adjustable so that can compensate for a little error on that part.. but you want to keep as much adjustability both ways also for after everything is welded up and you might need to adjust the pinion slightly either way. Remember since you want bags on the bars to consider in spacing so the bags dont rub the frame.. and get square lower bars/or under bar gussets.
Until you have the bars/tabs.. unless your going to buy them a little long, un-welded.. it sounds dumb maybe but take some cardboard tubes and make some tabs and sit stuff in place.. to me having something to work with like that makes things easier.. kind of just a mock up before spending a few hundred bucks on something.
The crossmember you make you can always build it to have some adjustment either way on the framerail, etc.. so that can compensate for any minor error once you actually have the bars and tabs you might notice something has to move slightly.. but this way you can move the crossmember back or forth, and/or adjust the bars.
Measure everything like 10 times, and tack in place and jack the rear up as high as a bag would move it.. and keep an eye on the pinion angle. Lay it out also and check.. 1 degree or less should be fine. Weld everything up really good..
