who has a fuel cell in their yota? what have you done with the stock fuel pump unit?

I have installed cells, but I have always replaced the in-tank pump with an aftermarket in-line pump with regulator. I'm sure you could possible modify the factory pump assembly (pickup tube length, and mounting hole in new cell) but I feel it easier to get a good performance pump and mount it close by.

i was thinkin find a cell close to stock tank height and just cuttin hole n cell and rivet it to it. would that keep the gas gauge close to stock? ya think

Riveting would be a bad idea due to the hassles of repair at a later date. Weld on a ring with threads or use some nutserts(threadsetter).

true... didnt think about that haha

The factory sender can be bent slightly to get it to read right in close to factory dimension tank.

When I had my stainless tank made,I used a donor tank to get the stock flanges. Than used a Venom pump, pushes 20% more!
