Sub recommendation

I want a custom center console that will hold 2 10s firing down into the floor. My guess is that I probably want have the room for ported enclosure so I will more than likely go sealed. My question: I have narrowed my sub choices to about 5 (Adire, DD, RE, Image Dynamics and JLW6v2). Which one out of those would give me the best SQ/SPL mix in a sealed box?

Shit son....i would go with Image Dynamics, but thats me....on the other hand, you can never go wrong with jl...

the re's are a very good sub, ive run their amps and subs before and i liked them alot. JL and ID are going to be way overpriced because you can get an better performing sub for the money.

ANother question of mine would be that I see the RE, DD and Adire mostly in the ported boxes. Has anyone ever heard these same subs in a sealed box?

i've got 2 mtx 8000 12" in a downfire sealed box w/ an xtant 1000w powering them. sounds great. i've got boom when i need it w/ a clean sound.

ppl hate on mtx...but i my system sounds great and others agree.

plus those subs are 80 bucks a pop on ebay. the amp will run a lot, tho.

If your looking for something that would pound in a sealed enclosure i myself would reccomend MMATS or Audiobahn 1200N's. Bith LOVE small sealed enclosures, and also dont require an assinine amount of power to push, If your set on your couple brands ID wouldbe the only wayto go.....

How much room do you have for the box? Do you have 3 cubic feet total to work with? If you do, then you could build at least a 1.75 cubic feet ported box for one ten. You could run one DD 3510 or (if you have the funds) one DD 9510. If you did the 3510 with 2000 watts, 1.75 ft^3 box, 25in^2 port area, tuned to ~35Hz, you would be quite happy. If you go with the 9510 in the same box you could do up to 4000watts RMS and no one would believe you had just one sub, let alone just one 10".

If I do 1 10 in a ported I figure I will have about 1.40 of space. I could build a bigger one but I don't want my center console taking up alot of my interior

so you have about 2 ft^3 to work with? I would do RE since they are a little cheaper than Adire or DD.
