4 subs one amp 1 ohm load?

i have 4 db drive 12's dual 4 ohm and one db drive 1200.1 single channel amp, my question is how do i get the 4 12's to a 1ohm load on the amp?

i was thinking if i wire each sub to a 8ohm and put 2 together for a 4ohm and the other 2 together to a 4ohm and then put those 2 together it would be at 2ohms and then the amp is a single channel so that should make it a 1ohm load to the amp right

If i'm doing my math right you need to wire all the subs up in parallel and then bridge them on the amp that should get you your 1 ohm, unless it's a class d amp and then that will only get you 2 ohms. but even running it at 2 ohms is still going to pound. hope that helps

if all else fails get a multi meter and test it to see what ohm level you are getting. but i'm pretty sure the way i said is right

ya its a class d amp and its a single channel so im not sure if it will work like that or not

would it hurt anything to put 2 of the subs at 8 ohm and 2 at 2 ohm and then put them all together? according to a calculater i found online it says that would be a 0.8 ohm load

I have a 12" Type X and an Alpine V12 Digital Mono Amplifier MRD-M1005

The amp was tested and got 1044 watts RMS
and the sub is capable of Power Handling 3000W Peak and 1000W RMS,

no matter how you wire it you're only options are 2 or 8 ohm load with a mono amp. I would just go with the 2 ohm, I don't think you'll notice a difference between that and if you could do it at 1 ohm

I would Series Each speaker for an 8 ohm load per speaker, (why series, if you lose a voice coil, the speaker with the blown coil will compeletly stop playing because it broke the circuit(if it compeletly breaks). If you parallel the coils it will keep playing and just change the ohm load) - then i would parallel all the 4 speakers together which will present a 2 ohm load to the amp. I would not run different loads on each speaker. The final load might pencil out but those drivers with the lower ohm load will play louder. for shits and giggles - get 2 of your speakers, series one, parallel one and hook them together, then pop them with a cordless drill battery. you will see the difference in the cone movement.

u cant not get 1 ohm out of 4 -dual 4 ohms , now if u had 4-dual 2 ohms it would work

yes you can I can't remember how but I know mine are dual 4 ohm and they are wired to 1 ohm. I think you have wire them to 8 ohm then wire them in parellel somehow. I could be wrong though lol i have been know to be crazy.
