question about narrowing a rearend to fit 22

I'm about to body drop a 96 chevy fullsize stepside with 22 inch wheels. The question I have is on the rearend. The 22 are hitting the step on the stepside bed. I was wondered if anyone has had this done.

mr scrape had the rearend on their truck narrowed, but i think if its bodydropped u have to cut and move the bedsides up to clear a 22

I CUT AN INCH OFF ON BOTH SIDES BUT IT REALLY DEPENDS ON OFFSET OF THE RIMS

gonna wanna find the rims you are gonna stick with then you can get youre exact measurments from there sometimes the frame will hit your rims if they are to wide you can be up for alot more work

Had mine narrowed 6 inches with a 22x10 never hit the frame.
