help on bagging a 2002 Saturn SC2

ok my girl is buyin a saturn SC2 that has coilovers and well the streets around here will beat the hell outta the car cause the car is too low. so she wants air ride on it and I was just wondering what a good setup would be for her car. and if it can be done for around $2000

I had an SW2 W/air and you are gonna be cuttin it close getting a decent setup for 2 grand.

hey man theres a guy here in town that has a saturn thats on air that pretty damn slick you can check it out his profile is slamdsaturn i think

i have maybe $1100 in my whole setup with the fittings and lines and everything... shouldnt be that much more expensive. Just sucks on those cars cuz they are mcpherson strut. The cylinders were out alot quicker then they do if u have a honda or something

yea, you shouldnt use cylinders on mac-struts. the shafts arent designed to handle the stress. best bet would be to juice it and use accumulators. but if youre dead set on air, then you gotta use strutbags. which from what i hear wont get you really low, but ride nice.

from what i have seen, saturns on air look mostly just like they were lowered. however juice will lay it pretty nice and low.

But from what your saying, she isn't concerned so much about the height as she is the ride, correct? Word to the wise though, both cylinders and juice with accums are going to ride fairly rough. You would have to get a bagstrut, which I'm not sure they make for that car.

I'm willing to bet AIM makes them, but I would rather ride on 2x4's than trust AIM equipment.

well right now the car she is getting has a evo bodykit on it and with coilovers sits almost 2 inches off the ground. she likes that low stance on the car but the problem isnt really the ride the streets around here she needs to be able to raise it up to get into some parking lots, and just on some of the rougher roads. I'll try to get a pic of the car so u all can see what she is working with. the car is on Mautofied on Page 5 of the show cars it's a pearl pink Saturn SC2
