hey guys, im wondering if anyone can help me, has anyone converted there 4.3 non vortec into a carb, were doin a motor swap in a 87 s10, from a 2.8. to a 4.3 from a 91 s10 and ive heard of someone doin this, if any one can give me any tips on this that would be great, i have found intake manifolds and distributors but im wondering if theres anything else, he was thinking of keeping it f.i but carbing it would clean it right up and he dosent want to drop in a 350, so help me out thanks

you gotta get a manual fuel pump, or a regulator for the stock one. i guess you can get all the shit off a older astro, i guess most of those are carbed, so i heard. im sure theres more, but thats all i can really think of right now

well youll need the manifold, distributor, and carb, check out gm performance parts. i doubt any astros are carbed, they didnt even make the 4.3 in small van/truck applications until 1987 and everything had already been FI for years.

Check out mid 80s Caprices and Monte Carlos. Some had 4.3s with a 4 barrel carb.
