what is a good shallow depth subwoofer?

Pioneer makes a woofer that is around 6" in deapth. They designed it for shallow install areas, I believe it's main reason was for door mounting for truck owners. I don't know much more about it than that, I also think the largest is a 10 but I could be wrong.

Alto mobile makes one. They have a 10" and a 12" I've got 3 of the 12's 4inch mounting depth. www.altomobile.com

You're kidding, right? 6" is shallow? My ARC Audio D2's are 6" and they are nowhere near 'shallow'

Yea My mistake, I have a magazine article somewhere around here about it, I think it closer to 4. I just measured my Infinitys and they are 6 1/2. If I can find it I will post the dimensions and model number to it as well.

Blaupunkt makes some. Massive audio used to make some, I think. Solid Audio makes some good 'shallow mount' subs, if you can still get them (out of business now...)

Found the article of that Pioneer sub. The model number for it is TS-SW124D. Mounting deapth is 3 1/2"
