when i BD my s10 i threew out the old booster and installed a Geo Metro booster so i had more room in the engine compartment. But now my brake pedal goes almost all the way to the floor before it starts to brake and i have to push as hard as i can to get it to slow down. The pedal isn't soft so theres no air in the lines for sure. Another thing is when the trucks off and you pump the pedal it wont build pressure but it will when it running. If anybody as an idea to what it is please share.

bleed it some more....

just let that bitch garvity bleed for a while. open the cap on the resevoir and then open the bleeders at the wheels in the back and let that shit drip out for a while then do the front. Just make sure you keep the resevoir full of fluid.

Once thats done, bleed each wheel starting from the one farthest from the master cylinder and work towards the closest.

Just what he said bleed it again. And if still nothing you will have to upgrade boosters to dual 7" I have heared alot of these problems. When you bleed the brakes start at the passenger rear then the driver rear and pass front then driver front. When you think you all of it out Repeat the process again. Cant be tooo certain when dealing with brakes.

it might be that the push rod is not long enouth and make sure your vaccum line has no trash in it

Mine does the same thing, I've gotten used to it. But you can get a dual diaphram 7" booster and that will help with the hard pedal.

naw it aint that the pushrod is long enough b/c i made it too long in the first place and had to chop it down to fit the brake light sensor on the pedal and now its as long as it can possibly be

find a booster form and old body s-10. some of them came with an 8" booster. GM code is "jm5" trust me it works like a charm and uses your stock master cylinder.

i went through the same BS with those tiny ass boosters and got so fed up that i just up and ripped it out one day. went to the junkyard an picked up and 8" for 35 bucks and my truck will lock the brakes up NO PROBLEM

If your interested I have a 8 " booster here that is used. Cant use it on a blazer with 22s. So if you need it I would say 35.00 would take it.

The booster that you are talkin about hits, or at least with BYC arms and 20's.

I had accually shorten my upper arms due to the offset of the wheel. Plus using a new booster also. And I also used byc arms. Not anymore I will be useing Finalfab.com arms from now on. Coming to a street close to you.
