Hey guys, I'm about to get my truck painted by the auto body students Nashville Auto Diesel College (I'm an auto-diesel student here). I have all the ideas pretty much sorted out except one- seperating the 2 colors.

I am painting it HOK pink and black. I want the whole front end to be pink, starting mid fender, as well as the top half of the truck. And I'd like the bottom black, obviously. However, I don't know how to seperate the 2 colors. Everything I think of I have seen.

If you guys have any ideas of a really unique seperating line, I would love to hear it. I'm considering everything from fading the 2 together, to a custom tribal design, to just a plain line. Anything will help.

Thanx a lot.

run like a sliver pinstrip right where the 2 meet up, doin a blend i think would look funny. not hatin on people that have them cause there are alot but i think the 2 colors completely seporate look way better. look around at some of the paint jobs on here there are alot of ideas to throw around.

Thanx man. I've been leaning toward a pinstripe sort of idea, but includes 2 more colors.

I was thinking put a silver live seperating the 2 colors and a thin pinstripe line above and below that line, but I was unsure of the color use.

i think thats pretty bad ass i like the look and since its an old school classic lookin truck that thw silver leaf will look great in there.

I really like that, but no flames. Everyone is going with flames these days. Every other car outside the body shop has flames from head lights to tail lights.

I was seriously considering this idea.

not sure on your paint job, but I just got out of school there, and I would be extremly careful letting them paint it there, it will prob come out with extra scratches. (I was the one with the black colorado i bagged there)

I'm the chick that drives the black Sonoma with Miss Behavin written across the back window.

I like those Colorado's, but I would rather have a Canyon. It sounds like I want to do the same thing that you did- bag a brand new truck. I want to put 'Dropped at Birth' across the back window too though.

I don't remember seeing your truck specifically, when did you graduate?

i graduated last phase but i will be back for a custom paint class next phase on the 14th

I've heard some bad things about the students painting also... mostly because they was having more fun than taking it serious. But good luck with it!
